Provenance: from the library of Marquis Ann'balle Berlingeiri, Rome whose oval stamp is to ffep rectos, rectangular stamp to rfep versos, and printed paper labels to tail of spine and upper corners of front paste-owns also Harvard College Library oval stamp dated 1939 to verso of the first half-title of each volume - no other institutional markings found elsewhere.īelow is a list of plates, pull-outs,and fold-outs for each part - totaling 125 for this set - including an indication of whether lacking, along with any pagination inconsistencies found. The other part, albeit to a lesser extent being eight leaves, with a folio sized ornate leaves and pull-out tables is part VII of volume IV, which also has a title-page dated 1833. Two parts have folio sized extra-ornate fold-outs - especially part LII of vol XXVI for 1841 being a special edition consisting entirely of these fold-outs, and was dedicated to the King of Naples and Sicily under the separate title of: Specchio Della Marineria Mercantile De'Reali Domini di quà e di là del faro al I° Gennajo, 1839. Included are many plates, pull-outs, fold-outs, and statistical tables of varying quantities throughout the volumes. Each volume consists of six parts, each covering two consecutive months and concludes with two meteorological tables "Osservazioni Meterologiche," which are sometimes printed on a single double-sided pull-out. Articles include topics on ancient history, industry and economics, public buildings, mathematics, meteorology, botany, fine arts, etc. Journals consist of articles on a wide range of current and historical topics relating to the Kingdoms of the Two Sicilies that existed until 1860.
